Installation

Trapzilla Installation Information

Thermaco’s Trapzilla grease interceptor was designed for ease of installation, especially in space-constrained sites.  Its compact design allows it to be carried by two people through a commercial doorway for indoor installatiions and positioned easily for proper plumbing.

Potential Installation Types

Installed Outdoors In-Ground

A Trapzilla Grease Interceptor and/or Solids Separator may be installed outdoors in-ground using either an In-ground Model (includes 18" Single-Piece Extension Collar) or a Basic Model.  Concrete should be poured completely around the unit, and cleanouts should be provided before and after each unit.  Check the appropriate manual for detailed instructions.

Trapzilla TZ-600-ECA and TSS-95-ECA Installed Outside

 

Installed Indoors Above-Ground

A Trapzilla Grease Interceptor and/or Solids Separator may also be installed indoors using Above-Ground models with Support Stand.  Appropriate venting should be installed to provide adequate ventilation of unit.  Check the appropriate manual for detailed instructions.

Installed Indoors In-Ground

A Trapzilla Grease Interceptor and/or Solids Separator may also be installed in-floor inside of a kitchen.  An In-Ground or Basic unit may be buried in concrete or installed hanging from the floor using the Trapzilla hanging assembly as shown.  Additional options such as the Fabricated Top Cover Assembly allow for durability in situations with high traffic over the unit.  Check the manual for instructions on installation.
